Gifs for Harper Collins, India to be used on thier Instagram stories. All designs had to employ the colours of the Harper Collins logo – Persian Red (#CE3729) and Cyan-Blue Azure (#377BBF).

Style

I chose clean outlines and bright colours keeping in mind the environment the gifs would be used it. They had to stnad out amidst vibrant and complex backgrounds. Hand written text was used wherever necessary to add to the understanding of the gif. The stickers had to be playful and dynamic so they would motivate the audience into using them.

Brief

To create simple GIFs that could be uploaded onto the GIPHY channel of the organization. The design had to incorporate the logo of the company, a hashtag and a slogan.

To keep the design language simple and striking, creating a sense of what the campaign was about. The slogans and hashtags were strong and had to be accompanied by designs that were equally straightforward and not distracting from the message.

Style

I choose a bold outline accompanied by the colours of the organization’s logo (Yellow) to highlight important elements of the design. All the GIFs were composed of just two frames with one or two moving components. The highlights and shadows were also minimal. All this combined, served to draw attention to the slogan rather than distracting the viewer with design complications.
